Dental Implants

How they work

There are many options now available to replace a missing tooth. The most sophisticated of these is dental implants. These are effectively titanium screws that are surgically placed into the jawbone, onto which a crown or bridge can be fitted once the implants have had enough healing time.

Implants can also be used to stabilise loose dentures, as they can be inserted as an underlying foundation onto which a denture can be fixed. With implant cases, we always need to liaise closely with the dentist/specialist who will be providing the final restoration (i.e. the crown, bridge or denture) in order to achieve the best results.
